When I had planned to document Anna’s birthday for my “one roll, one day” project this month, never could I have imagined how much our world would be turned upside down while we all coped with how to find a “new normal”.
A new project for me this year is to capture one day each month on ONE roll of film. February is all about our mini vacation to Mexico.
It’s such an incredible honor to capture the first few days of a new family. The Jablonski family and sweet baby Brooks were just a dream to be around.
A new project for me this year is to capture one day each month on ONE roll of film. We started out the year in Topsail Beach and good ole North Carolina decided to gift us with a some beautiful weather and glorious sunrises.
The Lee family in our Wake Forest studio! Short, sweet and oh so precious. The studio is THE PERFECT place for those quick family mini sessions, milestone portraits and more!
Oh my heart. Such a beautiful evening with the Dietzel family. At home sessions will always have my heart.

Fall sessions are here! I have met and photograph the sweetest families this year and I am just so grateful for everyone who steps in front of my camera!
Home sweet home. There’s no better place to be. Starting in 2020 all of my sessions will take place at your home. Most of my sessions (even extended family sessions) were scheduled at the homes of my clients this year and I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing they all were.
I can’t even stand how stand how amazingly sweet this extended family session was. This beautiful family gathered together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of grandma and grandpa, complete with a champagne toast.
Is it fall yet? It’s every family photographers favorite time of the year! And I am so ready. How about you?
I have had so many in home family sessions this year and my heart is so happy. The vibe of a family session at home is so totally different than an outdoor family session. Both are wonderful and both make for such beautiful pictures, but there’s just something about capturing a family in their happy place.
Most of my sessions are booked in Raleigh, NC, but whenever I get a chance to travel, I am packed and ready in no time!
This Raleigh lifestyle family session was FULL of sunshine, smiles, popsicles and sprinklers. I mean, can you think of a better way to spend any day, much less a day of a family photography session? T
I may be a lifestyle family and newborn photographer, but do you know what? Yesterday I created our 2018 photo book and I realized something as I was making the album… I AM ONLY IN LIKE 3 PHOTOS. What in the world?? 3 photos people!! And one of those was a “selfie”.
The Edwards’ family in-home session was full of love, laughing, dancing on beds and more.
As a family waits for a new baby girl to arrive, they capture some sweet moments in their first home before moving to the next.
Whenever I’m feeling in a creative rut, I usually try to push myself out of it by picking up a camera I haven’t used in a while and shooting away aimlessly. It’s so easy to get stuck in your own head and over think EVERY.SINGLE.THING. It’s easy to feel like you haven’t created anything fun or new or interesting in ages and it’s even easier to just NOT pick up a camera.
